Student leaders at Columbia University state that:

In a university setting, no view is too disreputable to be excluded - the goal of a university is to hear and present a wide array of opinions so that they may be challenged and debated in the spirit of free speech and the pursuit of knowledge.

When Minuteman Project co-founder Jim Gilchrist tried to hold a pro-American sovereignty speech, he was shouted down, declared to not be a legitimate voice in the illegal immigration debate and driven out by a mob of students who sabotaged the event.  So much for rational discourse from the open-borders lobby and the wacky left.

United States miltary ROTC aren’t welcome on campus either.

However, radical lunatic President Mahmood Ahmanutjob of Iran is apparently welcomed with open arms though.

We believe that this presents an incredible opportunity for the student body to learn about world affairs and to challenge a major controversial figure.

I guess it’s really not all that surprising though, since Columbia had also invited Adolf Hitler in 1933.  But, Hitler also was also nominated the Nobel Peace Prize in 1939, and we all know how well that turned out.

Let’s just point out Ahmanutjob’s own opinion of America and Israel, in case there’s anyone out there who doesn’t quite grasp it.

Ahmanutjob also has plans to visit Ground Zero in New York, the somber and solemn site where the World Trade Center once stood.  NYPD apparently has a different opinion though.
