This is one of those stories that just makes your head spin and your hair catch on fire.  Three American citizen teenagers are dead, and another recovering from serious injuries, after illegal aliens (allegedly) assault them and murder three of them execution style.  Did I mention the alleged culprits are illegal aliens?  Naturally, the left and the open borders crowd will still spew the same old tired “illegal aliens are just here to work” mantra.

When is enough enough?  When will our spineless politicos finally secure the border and enforce our laws?  How many more Americans have to die or be injured before something is finally done about this?  I realize that the majority of illegal aliens are decent hardworking folks, and I’m empathetic to their desire for a better life for themselves and their families.  But, should we sacrifice our national security, sovereignty, and safety, and allow more criminals in, essentially unfettered, just to save a few cents on a head of lettuce?  We already have enough American citizen criminals as it is, do we really need to import more?

Thecriminals who (allegedly) committed these executions shouldn’t have even been here.  If our spineless politicos would actually do their jobs, (see US Constitution, Article IV, Section 4) and “protect each [state] from invasion,” these three kids would still be alive.

Jose Carranza
Jose Carranza

New Jersey authorities twice allowed a suspected child rapist to slip out of custody with minimal bail without reporting his illegal immigrant status to the feds - leaving him free to allegedly massacre three college students in a Newark schoolyard.

[Jose Larchire] Carranza, who arrived in New Jersey from Peru in 1991, was first arrested last October after a bar fight in West Orange, where he and two others used bottles and chairs to cause “significant bodily injuries” to one of the four victims, court papers say.

He was charged with felony aggravated assault. A municipal court judge set Carranza’s bail at $50,000. It was later reduced to $20,000. He posted 10 percent and walked free.

That allowed Carranza to return to what prosecutors said was four years of sexual torment he inflicted on a child that began in 2003 when she was just 5.

Orange police arrested Carranza again in January, and Judge John Kennedy set the initial bail at $150,000, which he posted by bond.

He was re-arrested a month later in Newark on the same sex charges and a second bail was set at $300,000, a court official said.

But Essex County Judge Thomas Vena agreed to consolidate the charges, and allowed Carranza to go free based on the bond he posted in the original case.

Months later, an Essex County grand jury indicted him on 31 counts on those allegations of child rape.

Still free, prosecutors said that last Saturday Carranza and at least two others forced four victims at a Newark schoolyard to their knees and shot them all in the head execution-style, killing three.

“He should have been off the street,” Essex County Sheriff Armando Fontoura.

But the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office never alerted the Department of Immigration and Customs Enforcement that Carranza was an illegal alien and out on the streets, as recommended by federal guidelines.

This entire story is a prime example of the utter failures of lax immigration policies and failed border security.  Oh, and there’s more…

From NY Post:

Rodolfo Godinez
Rodolfo Godinez

On the same day Newark buried three victims of the Aug. 4 schoolyard slayings, authorities yesterday identified a 24-year-old Nicaraguan national with a record of robbery, assault and weapons arrests as a “principal player” in the execution-style attack.

Rodolfo Godinez, who lives in the city’s Ivy Hill neighborhood where the killings occurred, has been the subject of an intense manhunt since Friday, when detectives obtained an arrest warrant charging him with murder, robbery and weapons offenses, authorities said.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement records indicated Godinez may also be in the country illegally. Rodolfo Antonio Godinez Gomez entered the U.S. from Nicaragua on Oct. 24, 1992. He was ordered deported on May 5, 1993, but it isn’t clear if he ever left the country, according to Essex County Sheriff Armando Fontura.

“It seems to me that he was illegal,” he said.

Godinez was first arrested as a juvenile on June 21, 1999, in South Orange for robbery that was downgraded to theft for which he got 18 months probation. In September 2002, he was arrested in Irvington for aggravated assault, robbery and weapons possession. He was indicted but its not clear what happened after that. In April 2003, he was arrested for robbery in Newark which was downgraded to theft and got 18 months probation, Essex County records show.

These illegal aliens committed a slew of crimes and were never booted of this country as they should have been.  They should have had an immigration detainer placed on them the very first time they were encountered.  They did not, thanks to a gaping hole in the ties between local law enforcement and immigration authorities.  But, with our piss poor enforcement of immigration laws and border security, thanks to our spineless politicos, they probably would have been back here in a few weeks anyway.

Godinez is also reported to have ties to the ruthless gang MS-13. (hat tip: MM)

State and local police and politicians often say it’s not their job to deal with illegal immigrants, they say it’s the strictly the feds’ job.  However, it IS their job to deal with public safety on a state and local level.  When illegal aliens are committing crimes in our cities and neighborhoods, just who the hell’s job is it to deal with it then?  It stops being simply a federal issue once they cross our border and settle into our communities, and the policies of certain cities being sanctuaries to illegal aliens is complete madness.  Newark, NJ is one of those cities, and three teenagers are dead as a result.

When is this lunacy going to stop?  When is enough enough?  How many more Americans have to die before the gutless politicos across this country stop pandering to the illegal aliens and actually put the interests and safety of American citizens and legal residents first?  We need our borders secured and sane immigration policies enforced.  We need to know exactly who is in our country, and why, and kick out any alien who preys on our citizens and legal residents.  Only then should we decide what to do with the other generally law-abiding illegal aliens who are still here.  Until our borders are secured and our laws enforced, any discussion of amnesty is pointless.

I know, I know… illegal aliens are just here to work… yadda, yadda…
